To my knowledge this is not being attended by anyone, contact@ is/was the preferred way for general questions and help. This is the only reference left of what I can find. Reviewed-on: https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/Documentation/pulls/860 Reviewed-by: Robert Wolff <mahlzahn@posteo.de>

## Stay up to date
We recommend to follow us on [Mastodon](https://social.anoxinon.de/@Codeberg).
You can also [check out our blog](https://blog.codeberg.org).
Also check out the Matrix Channels mentioned below!
## Questions and Issues
Codeberg relies on community members helping each other via public spaces.
This is an always-available and reliable way to get help for most issues.
Usually there will be other people who have experience in the area or had
similar problems in the past and can participate in helping you out. You
can use these spaces to provide support to others too.
### Issue tracker
The most important place to ask for help and report any issues with Codeberg is the [Codeberg/Community issue tracker](https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/Community/issues).
It's **never** wrong to open a ticket there.
If you need help quickly, or just want to join our community for exchange, discussions and news, there are two main options.
### Matrix
There is a large and active community of users in our Matrix chats, which can all be found in Codeberg's [Matrix space](https://matrix.to/#/#codeberg-space:matrix.org).
### IRC
You can also join an unofficial (community-maintained) `#codeberg` IRC channel on [libera.chat](https://libera.chat).
There's much less activity than on Matrix.
## Contacting the Codeberg organization
### Email
If you need to get in touch with the people behind the **non-profit Codeberg e.V.
(e.g. for managing your membership etc)**, and only in this case,
write to [codeberg@codeberg.org](mailto:codeberg-PLEASE-REMOVE-THIS-FOR-SPAM-PROTECTION@codeberg.org).
Please only send us an email if your problem cannot be handled via public community support.
Our user support is maintained by very few people in their spare time,
and [reading the FAQ](/getting-started/faq) first is always a good idea!
If you believe that users should get kind responses to their emails,
[consider helping us out.](https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/Contributing/issues/28)!
If you still need to contact us, please email
[contact@codeberg.org](mailto:contact-PLEASE-REMOVE-THIS-FOR-SPAM-PROTECTION@codeberg.org).
**Response times will be very long. If you do not receive a reply,**
double-check if your question can be found in the [FAQ](/getting-started/faq)
or asked via the public channels above.
### Press Inquiries
Please direct **media and press inquiries** to [press@codeberg.org](mailto:press-PLEASE-REMOVE-THIS-FOR-SPAM-PROTECTION@codeberg.org).
This mailbox is operated by volunteers on a best effort basis and not by a traditional public communications department.
If you are seeking comment within a given timeframe, feel free to disclose this in your inquiry.
### Abuse
The preferred way to report content on Codeberg is using the built-in "Report content" buttons
on user profiles, issues and comments.
If you are not a registered user or wish to provide us more context, you can also send us an email
to [abuse@codeberg.org](mailto:abuse@codeberg.org).
When sending an email, please describe why the reported material
violates Codeberg's [Terms of Use](https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/org/src/branch/main/TermsOfUse.md)
to help us act faster.
All reports will be investigated and acted upon accordingly.
However, due to constrained human resources, **please do not expect updates**.
Please keep in mind that we are only responsible for content hosted under the following domains:
- `codeberg.org`
- `codeberg.page` (including custom domains using _Codeberg Pages_)
- `codeberg-test.org`
- `codeberg.eu`
In general, we avoid acting on reports involving _exclusively_ off-site behavior or rumors.
Reasons for that include limited time constraints, feasibility or to protect ourselves from
manipulation and accusations of libel. The reasons are practical and not a claim to neutrality.
However, such reports may also be taken into account when we receive actionable reports concerning
the same people. At our own discretion, we may apply some exceptions: We may take action e.g.
when an individual encourages harassment on-site, even if said encouragement is taking place
off-site.
#### Community channels
Our real-time discussion channels (e.g. Matrix rooms) are where Codeberg's community meets.
If you witness abusive behavior in our channels, please report it to its active moderators
directly (and, if appropriate, privately).
If you wish to complain about the moderation of our channels, please [contact the e. V.](#email)
The Codeberg community (or a subset of it) meets in our real-time discussion channels;
this is unlike [Codeberg.org], where people and communities can work on their repositories
in isolation from each other.
To ensure the community's health and foster a friendly and welcoming climate, a channel's
moderators can apply stricter moderation standards as they deem fit.
For instance, they can warn or exclude (i.e. mute, kick, ban) individuals over disruptive behavior
(e.g. trolling, [sealioning]) temporarily or permanently, proactively or reactively.
We do not always request that people move their repositories away from [Codeberg.org] as a result
of disputes that arose in our community spaces, but reserve the right to do so in cases
that we deem as gravely serious.
